Try your Hand at Art (Online) – 4 Sessions (Free)

This course will make art fun, offering you the chance to tip your toe into a number of creative processes, such as drawing and painting with a range of mediums. Over the four week course, you will be guided through a number of simple, creative exercises, learn about techniques and imaginatively consider what you can do creatively with materials to hand, enabling you to explore and gain confidence making artworks. Whether you are a beginner, wanting creative input, or looking to rekindle an old hobby, this course will provide you with a structure and support.

Try your hand at Smartphone Photography (Online) – 4 Sessions (Free)

Use your smartphone to produce photographs to see your immediate surroundings afresh. Over this four-week course you will learn how to compose your subject and use free photography apps to provide variation to your imagery, such as ISO, aperture, metering, focus and exposure adjustment. Edit and print your photos and reflect on your artwork, with guidance and support.  Whether you are a beginner, wanting creative input, or looking to rekindle an old hobby, this course will provide you with a structure and support.

Online Drawing & Painting Mixed Ability – 10 Weeks – £90

This exciting online course, which is aimed at complete beginners and those who have had some experience and may need to refresh skills and creativity.  It is a great opportunity for you to develop some basic drawing and painting skills. Each week you will explore different media through the themes of tone, shape proportion, colour and mark making. You will develop your observational skills and increase your knowledge of materials and media, exploring a variety of approaches to drawing and painting and building a small portfolio of work.

Drawing and Painting Improvers – 10 Weeks – £150

Building on your existing drawing and painting skills this course will encourage you to challenge yourself and enable you to continue to produce satisfying artwork. You will continue to explore and develop your use of tone, shape proportion, colour and mark making. Continue to experiment with a range of materials and media, exploring a variety of approaches to drawing and painting. building a portfolio of your work.  This course is studio based in a Covid secure environment.

Drawing Skills – 10 weeks – £150

Ever fancied drawing but not sure where to start? This course is dedicated to drawing and will take time to look at each element of drawing skills each week.  You will learn how to determine shape and proportion, using dry media and mixing media such as charcoal, pencil, chalk, pastel and ink.  The course takes a broad approach and you will come away with a grounding in all mediums and a range of techniques.  The ideal course to kick start your drawing practice! This course is studio based in a Covid secure environment.

Portraiture Mixed Ability -10 weeks –  £210

This course provides the opportunity for you to learn techniques to create effective portraits. Working from a live model each week, you will have dedicated time to build your skills week by week, with expert guidance from your tutor throughout.
